Bloomfield UMC revival Aug. 10-12

Smith & Company at Mill Creek

Smith & Company, a southern gospel group will perform at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 431 Poplar Flat Road. For more information, call the church office at 348-5049.

Bloomfield United Methodist revivial

Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 126 Taylorsville Road, will have a revival 7 p.m. Aug. 10-12. The Rev. Bill Johnson will be the evangelist Sunday and Monday. Tuesday will be Winfred Hagerman of Green’s Chapel United Methodist Church. There will be special music each evening. Sunday will be Brother Lee and Kim Smith from Van Buren Baptist Church. Monday will be Brother John Loper, minister of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Winfred Hagerman will not only be the evangelist Tuesday, but will join The Hahns and friends for the special music of the evening. Peggy Horton of Bardstown will lead congregational singing. SCN Lay Mission Volunteer Program

The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth’s Lay Mission Volunteer Program invites volunteers to join them Nov. 3-16 as they lead a mission trip to work with the Sisters and the children at Asha Kiran in Dharuhera, India. Asha Kiran is a school operated by the SCNs for young girls who are orphaned, or who have been taken out of brothels and other hostile environments. Asha Kiran attempts to break this cycle by offering the children a safe environment, an opportunity for learning and a chance to believe in their own worth and dignity. If you are interested in joining the group (or anyone you know is interested), contact Felicia Rowe at felicia@scnfamily.org or (502) 348-1583 for more details.
