Almost two weeks after the June 28 North Third Street fire, Pat Adams still remembered the day clearly.
However, it wasn’t the flames that stuck out most from that evening.
Instead, it was the unity of local citizens and firefighters coming together to fight a blaze that some say could have been a lot worse.
“I think (the fire) was detained very quickly,” Adams said. “What (the firefighters) did was awesome work, I don’t know any other way to put it.”
