Court of Appeals releases its opinion

By Staff

The Court of Appeals of Kentucky has found in favor of the City of New Haven in a case brought by former New Haven Police chief Larry Moore.

New Haven Mayor Tessie Cecil and the city commissioners terminated Moore for insubordination in an Aug. 21, 2008, meeting.

After he was fired, Moore filed suit in Nelson Circuit Court, claiming the termination violated KRS 15.520, also known as the Police Officers’ Bill of Rights.
