Nelson County Pictorial History book completed copies now available for pickup

The Nelson County Historical Society announces the release of the Nelson County, Ky., 225th Anniversary Pictorial History Book.

This new book features a historical overview of Nelson County from the 1780s through today, with more than 1,000 rare (many never-before-published) photographs of life in Nelson County featuring the following communities: Chaplin, Bloomfield, Fairfield, High Grove, Cox’s Creek, Samuels, Deatsville, Boston, Cedar Creek, New Haven, Howardstown, New Hope, Gethsemane, Balltown, Greenbrier, Culvertown, St. Thomas, Botland, Woodlawn, Nazareth and Bardstown.

This hardbound volume includes 280 pages and is bound in a green leatherette cover featuring gold lettering on the front cover.

For the families who have ordered copies, you may pick up your books at the Nelson County Public Library 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 11 and 18. Additional copies are available through the society at the same time on a first-come, first-served basis. The books may be purchased for $49.95 each.
