Nelson County indictments

Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following people have been indicted by a Nelson County grand jury.  They were arraigned in Nelson Circuit Court April 18.

• Michael W. Adkins, 56, Bardstown, two counts of first-degree trafficking in controlled substances. Sometime between July 10 and Aug. 15, 2012, Adkins sold OxyContin in an amount equal to or greater than 10 dosage units. Bail was set at $9,500 unsecured.

• Lynn D. Adkins, 46, Bardstown, two counts of first-degree trafficking in controlled substance. Sometime between July 10 and Aug. 15, 2012, Adkins sold OxyContin in an amount equal to or greater than 10 dosage units. Bail was set at $9,500 unsecured.

• Billy Dale Roach, 31, Indianapolis, two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. Sometime between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25, 2013, Roach illegally entered and damaged Culver Country Kwik Market, Boston Food Mart and New Haven Marathon. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Joshua C. Johnson, 38, Indianapolis, two counts of third-degree burglary and  two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. Sometime between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25, 2013, Johnson illegally entered and damaged Culver Country Kwik Market, Boston Food Mart and New Haven Marathon. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Michael W. Adkins, 56, Bardstown, possession of handgun by convicted felon. On or about March 25, 2013, Adkins possessed a 9mm Ruger LC9 semi-automatic handgun. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Daniel C. Stovall, 42, Indianapolis, two counts of  third-degree burglar and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. Sometime between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25, 2013, Stovall illegally entered and damaged Culver Country Kwik Market, Boston Food Mart and New Haven Marathon. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Stephanie Lashay Hodges, 30, Boston, theft of identity of another without consent. Sometime between Oct. 22, 2012 and Jan. 18, 2013, Hodges knowingly stole Christopher Hodges’ identity by applying for a Capital One credit card in his name. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

• Justin Downs, 19, New Haven, two counts of receiving stolen property. On or about March 10, 2013, Downs received, retained or disposed of a stolen Sundance .25 Caliber semi-automatic handgun belonging to Cameron Embry. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

• Daniel S. Janes, 25, Bardstown, two counts of second-degree criminal abuse. On or about Jan. 23, 2013, Janes wantonly abused a person under 12 years old by allowing the minor to ingest a fentanyl patch. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Robert Douglas Dennis, 26, two counts of theft by unlawful taking. Sometime between Oct. 15, 2012 and March 6, 2013, Dennis stole pieces of jewelry belonging to Sharon Bartley. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Sonya Denise Hutchison, 24, Bardstown, two counts of second-degree criminal abuse. On or about Jan. 23, 2013, Hutchison wantonly abused a person under 12 years old by allowing the minor to ingest a fentanyl patch. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Sarah Juanita Stevens, 21, two counts of theft by unlawful taking . Sometime between Oct. 15, 2012 and March 6, 2013, Stevens stole pieces of jewelry belonging to Sharon Bartley. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Stephen Wayne Metcalf, 54, Bardstown, first-degree trafficking in controlled substances. On or about Jan. 23, 2013, Metcalf sold an unspecified drug. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
