Nelson Circuit Court Indictments

Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

 

The following people have been indicted by a Nelson County grand jury.  They are set for arraignment in Nelson Circuit Court Dec. 22.

• Owen Lee “Petie” Maddox, 33, Bardstown, second-degree burglary, first-degree sexual abuse, menacing, first-degree persistent felony offender. On or about Nov. 26, Maddox allegedly entered a residence unlawfully, and on the same date engaged in sexual contact with another person by use of forcible compulsion, and cursed or acted disorderly toward someone. Maddox was previously convicted of complicity to second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and other charges. Bail was set at $200,000 cash only, plus conditions.

 • Joseph Christopher Redmon, 32, Bardstown, two counts receiving stolen property, second-degree persistent felony offender. On or about July 11, Redmon allegedly received, retained or disposed of a 16-foot trailer and a Bush Hog brand tractor loader belonging to Bluegrass Trailers. Redmon was previously convicted of theft of identity of another without consent and other charges. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

• Thomas W. McCubbins, 49, Bardstown, cultivating marijuana, five or more plants, trafficking in marijuana, acquire property/enterprise from income from drug-related activity, possession of drug paraphernalia. The alleged discovery of marijuana in McCubbins’ possession occurred Sept. 2. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

• Sarah Beth Lyons, 35, Shepherdsville, first-degree possession of controlled substance, theft of vehicle registration plate/decal, second-degree fleeing and evading police (on foot), possession of drug paraphernalia, operating motor vehicle while license suspended, no/expired Kentucky registration receipt, expired Kentucky registration plates. On or about Oct. 18, Lyons was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and allegedly fled from police on foot. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

• Justin W. Parrish, 18, Cox’s Creek, cultivating marijuana, five or more plants, possession of drug paraphernalia. Parrish was allegedly discovered in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia Nov. 3. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

• Patricia Ann Gales, 57, Bardstown, 56 counts second-degree possession of a forged instrument, theft by unlawful taking, three counts fraudulent use of credit card or debit card. Between November 2010 and September 2011, Gales allegedly passed about 56 forged checks, several of which were allegedly stolen, and allegedly used a credit or debit card belonging to the same victim. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

• Crystal R. Bogard, 23, Louisville, theft by unlawful taking. On or about Nov. 11, Bogard allegedly took several DVDs and clothing belonging to Kroger valued at $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

• Jerry Glendon Alcorn II, 28, Shepherdsville, flagrant non-support. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

• Daniel B. Hood, 35, Chaplin, flagrant non-support. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
