Louisville man charged with sexual abuse and sodomy

A Louisville man was charged Thursday with sodomy and sexual abuse in Nelson Circuit Court.

Jeffrey Baunach, 38, Louisville, was indicted for first-degree sodomy (victim under 12) and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse (victim under 12). According to the indictment, Baunach allegedly engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a minor by the use of forcible compulsion and subjected to separate victims who were incapable of consent to sexual contact.

Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions and his arraignment was set for Feb. 17. First-degree sodomy is a Class A felony, which carry potential prison sentences of 20-50 years or life imprisonment.
