A Bardstown Police detective was involved in a two-vehicle injury accident early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Chaplin Road and Arnold Lane.
According to Sgt. Kaelen Matthews of the Nelson County Sherriff’s Office, Detective Jason Woodson was driving a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr and making a left hand turn from Chaplin Road onto Arnold Lane when a 2003 Saturn Vue driven by a juvenile was traveling west on Chaplin Road and the two vehicles made contact.
Woodson’s vehicle overturned, striking a stop sign and utility pole guide wire.
The Saturn Vue was also disabled from the accident.
Woodson used his radio to call in the accident and was taken, along with his two juvenile passengers, to the hospital by Nelson County EMS for treatment.
The driver of the Saturn was taken to the hospital by his parents.
