At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 23, the KY Home Chapter of Hearing Loss Association of America will focus on a little known factor related to hearing loss. Few people realize that hearing loss impacts dementia, Alzheimer’s, depression, loneliness and other health issues. The presenter will be Michelle Niehaus from the department of mental health. This meeting which is held at the Nelson County Public Library, 201 Cathedral Manor, Bardstown, KY 40004, is free, open to the public, and real time remote captioned. HLAA is a self-help organization dedicated to education, advocacy and support for people who do not hear well and those around them.
