Our expectations in the garden can sometimes be a bit high. Spring has been glorious this year; everything that is supposed to bloom seems to be blooming. Certainly this is fair payback since we were cheated last year. But, if you are among the few in the neighborhood who had few blooms on the forsythia or dogwood, consider some of the other factors that influence a plant’s performance.
