Driver without headlights hits motorcycle

A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after colliding with a car that failed to turn on its headlights Sunday evening.

Nelson County EMS reported that Joseph A. Jackson, 48, New Haven, was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital. The severity of his injuries was unknown by press time Tuesday.

A Bardstown Police Department report states that Kristen S. Gilkey, 19, Bardstown, left Game Stop on Culpeper Street driving a 1993 Chevrolet Camaro about 9:32 p.m. Gilkey reportedly told police she forgot to turn on her headlights.
