The Nelson County E-911 Dispatch Board Wednesday approved the hire of Joe Mattingly as a consultant for a four-week period beginning April 18. Mattingly, who worked with Louisville’s dispatch service, Metro Safe, for 13 years, will be paid the same rate as former director Jim Pat Rogers at $27.77 per hour for a maximum of 160 hours.

Board Chair Fred DeWitt emphasized it will be important that Mattingly observe the operation of the dispatch office at night as well as during the day.
