Cocanougher family reunion circa 1910

The picture submitted is a Cocanougher Reunion circa 1910 near Texas Ky., in east Washington County.  Two matriarchs of the family  are shown seated in the second row - the third from the left in the second row is Emily Canary Cocanougher (1834-1914) widow of John Shelby Cocanougher (1831-1893). Next to her thus fourth from left in the second row is Nancy Elliott Burns Cocanougher (1833-1914) widow of  "Big George" Cocanougher (1829-1899).  John Shelby and "Big George" Cocanougher were brothers - the sons of George (1793 -1845) and Martha Hilton Cocanougher,  They all lived much of their lives on Long Run in east Washington County.  The 1793 George Cocanougher was a son of Jacob (1744-1831) and Neley Silvertooth Cocanougher (1745-1822), pioneer settlers of Washington County, KY.
