A hodgepodge of games, contests and booths will be featured in the annual Bloomfield in the Park Saturday at the Bloomfield Memorial Park.
According to Bloomfield Mayor Rhonda Hagan, the free picnic, which has been an annual event for 14 years, will feature games for kids, booths with plenty of food, a watermelon-eating contest, an auction and a fireworks show at the end of the day.
Children’s games, such as a basketball throw and three legged races will run 4-7 p.m. Three-legged races will feature a 12 and under section and a 13 and older section.
