Rain or shine, the upcoming Bark Bash fundraiser promises to be a fun night, all the while raising money for two local causes.

Bark Bash will be held from 7:30 p.m. to midnight June 28 at Wickland. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased online at www.barkbash.com or at local retailers: Artists Barrel, Bardstown Mills, Bella Salon and Spa, Liquor World and Special Pets.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Barktown Rescue and Bourbon City Bark Park.

“We’re really excited,” said Jolene Reynolds, executive director of the park. “The goal is to make this a fun evening.”

There are a limited amount of tickets, Reynolds said, encouraging people to buy their tickets as early as possible.

“I think it’s going to be a nice, fun event,” she said. “We’re hoping to do this on an annual basis.”

Each ticket includes entry to the event, two drink tickets and food. A cash bar will be available.

Bardstown’s own Big Black Cadillac will perform. Catering will be provided by Lady Fingers.

The event will also feature a silent auction and various raffle games.

Barktown Rescue will use proceeds to help with the upkeep of its new facility located at 295 Petersburg Road in Boston.

Bourbon City Bark Park will use proceeds to finish phase I of the construction of the park.
