A bus carrying Bardstown City Schools students was involved in an accident Monday morning in Danville.

The bus wrecked around 9:45 a.m. on U.S. 150.

The Advocate-Messenger reported that the wreck included a single car, driver unknown at this time.

No injuries were reported.

According to Superintendent Brent Holsclaw, the bus was transporting the students to a field trip.

Holsclaw said another bus came to pick up the students and the students were taken to their field trip.

The bus involved in the crash is driveable, Holsclaw said, but the district felt, from a safety standpoint, that it was better to transport the students in another bus.

The bus that was involved in the accident was driven back to the district.

Holsclaw said parents of students on the bus have been notified.
