Flu epidemic causes heavy absenteeism
The flu epidemic in Nelson County has reached such proportions that there is great absenteeism in the schools. At Bethlehem Academy, Bardstown, Sister Raymunda, principal, said that 130 pupils were out of school due to illness. One teacher is also ill.
In the Bardstown city schools 33 were absent Wednesday, as compared to 78 Tuesday and 75 Monday, Superintendent H.T. Cooper stated.
